Hershey was born a twin in February 2008. When his maternal mom decided she was only going to feed one kid, Hershey ended up moving in the house with us. ....we quickly learned how to bottle feed and change diapers. Hershey soon had the run of the house! He took over the dog bed and the couch, had his own wardrobe, got a taste of every meal we ate, drank coffee, slept in bed with us, loved to cuddle, liked watching the tv, went to Tractor Supply and Petsmart and enjoyed being spoiled like almost every other kid does. ....well maybe not kids like this! Hershey enjoyed answering the door when the doorbell rang, he jumped up in the UPS truck a time or two, followed us around the yard and would never let us out of sight. He would scream when his dad left for work and if he couldn't find me around the house he would scream until I showed up. It was okay if he went outside to eat grass, as long as I stayed in the same spot he left me. If he came back in the office and I wasn't there, he would scream and run around the house till he found me again. He loved to unroll the toilet paper off the wall and drag it through the house. He would steal Cinch's dog food out of the dish and if you said the words "Hershey NO!", he would do whatever he was not suppose to do, but only faster! He would lick his lips when he wanted a bottle and he would go outside when Cinch went out. If he heard you open something in the kitchen, he was there in seconds to make sure he was getting some. He always wanted to help take care of the babies we tried to save.
Hershey knew what time his dad got home from work. He would listen for his truck and then jump off the couch and run for the door. He knew it was time to fight! As soon as Ryan got home from work, he would get down on the floor and teach Hershey how to FIGHT!!! They would headbutt each other and rear up. Hershey has had tons of clothes and grows out of stuff fast! ....his Penn State sweater is sooo tiny. He acted tough when he wore his black shirt with "STUD MUFFIN" in gold metallic lettering. And he always has the coolest bling and Western collars on the market!!! He loves the word "Goat Treats"! Hershey is now around 100 pounds and and still growing. He will always have a place at our home and always be spoiled. Even though he is getting so big, he will ALWAYS be our Lil Bubba Hershey.

Cinch is an ex-horse show dog that loves to just lay around the house. He traveled to shows with me for years and loved every minute of it. He would wait at the side of the arena for me while I was working horses or showing. I use to grab him on my way out and he would ride up on the horse with me. (He rides better then a lot of people I see....hee! hee! hee! ) He also use to like going on trail rides as well. He would run along for hours, chasing stuff and always finding a scent to follow. Now that he is getting older, he has turned into a real couch potato. He loves attention and he will take all the Scooby Snacks he can get!!! ....oh by the way, Cinch is a Whippet. He is 9 years old now and still super fast!!

Just like Hershey, Babby Goat needed a new mom and dad. His mom had 4 kids on a cold winter day. We scooped him up out of the snow, he was cold and wet and we never thought he would pull through. We rushed him home to warm him up and we started tube feeding him to try and get him going. He ended up living in a dog crate in our laundry room and sometimes in my office. He was a success!!! He was a fighter all the way thru and now he is bigger then the rest of the kids that were born at the same time. He eventually moved back to the barn with the other kids, but we still had to bottle feed him several times a day. He ended up thinking we were his mom and dad. He would hear the truck coming down the road and be waiting at the fence for us when we pulled in. He would follow us around while we did chores and and liked to help us give farm tours to visitors. He now lives with Hershey and is spoiled.

Baby Girl was born in late March of 08. The first weekend of May she broke her left hind leg. Ryan and I rushed her into the vet and had x-rays done. She had to wear a splint for 8 weeks and be confined. ...so that meant she was gonna live with Lil Bubba Hershey and Babby Goat. She is now spoiled and lives with the two boys. Eventually, she will join the herd of doe's and raise babies for us.

LIL BUDDY IS A BOER WETHER THAT WILL STAY HERE AT THE RANCH. HE WAS BORN A TRIPLET ON A COLD DAY IN DECEMBER, WHILE WE WERE OUT OF TOWN. WHEN WE GOT HOME, HE WAS LAYING OUTSIDE THE STALL, WET, COLD & LIFELESS. I BEGGED TO TAKE HIM HOME AND TRY TO REVIVE HIM BY TUBE FEEDING HIM. IT WORKED AND LIL BUDDY KNEW HOW LUCKY HE WAS. HE STAYED IN A BOX IN OUR KITCHEN UNDER A HEAT LIGHT AND WAS BOTTLE FED. HE LOVED GETTING BATHS IN THE TUB AND HIS FAVORITE PART WAS GETTING BLOW DRYED. HE WOULD FALL ASLEEP IN MY LAP, ON HIS BACK, WHILE I WAS SINGING TO HIM. THEN HE WOULD STRUT AROUND THE HOUSE WITH HIS HAIR ALL POOFED UP! HE IS SPECIAL TO US AND NOW A PET.

I purchased Miles back in 2000....his feet were curled over like dutch shoes and his skin would pull off when you tried to brush him. He was pretty much neglected and didn't have much trust in people. Little did he know, his life was about to change. A little love and TLC made him look like brand new!!! He is probably the only donkey that has traveled the States with a trailer salesman.... Why would anyone pay to board a donkey?? I think I heard that many times over. Miles has moved 8 different times with me, several times in Ohio, a few times in Pa and once to Virginia. When I would roll into a boarding stable looking to board my competition horses, everyone would look when I unloaded the last one on the trailer.....MILES! When I lived at Red Hill Farm in Virginia, Miles would greet everyone who pulled in the driveway. He would stand at the fence and brae. Of course he was seeing if you had brought him treats!
