Used Vintage 16" Herford Tex Tan Western Saddle

If you are looking for nice well built comfortable saddle, you will LOVE this one!!!! This has to be one of the most comfortable saddles I have ever sat in. A friend of mine dropped this saddle off for me to sell and it is in beautiful shape. It has been kept in the house (climate controlled), so the leather is in top shape! It is intricately tooled in an acorn pattern, has a silver laced cantle and pommel and fancy silver conchos. (not the cheap junky ones that come on the newer built saddles) The seat is rough out with white fancy stitching. Nice wide stout built horn, matching leather wrapped and tooled stirrups and easy to adjust stirrup height with Blevins buckles. If you would like to add a rear flank strap, it is cutout and set up for one. This is one of the nicest Herford saddles I have seen. Saddle is stamped "Tex Tan - Herford Brand Yoakum, Texas" right above the stirrups. The serial number is: 1410I 982-30458. I believe it is an 82 model, but not for certain. The underfleece is all in good shape, the tree is solid and everything is nice and tight. There is one minor flaw at the back of the cantle. Also, the stirrups have some wear marks from being used, but still look good. This is a VERY nice saddle, that has been well cared for and hard to find in this condition. Wether you are showing or trail riding, you will LOVE the comfort and quality of this saddle.
